Meet Our Staff

Prior to opening our office on 9-11-1989, I had always dreamed of owning my own business. My prior background was in lending. When I called insurance agencies to record our mortgagee clause for mortgage loans or for liens on auto loans I remember thinking “someday, I would really like to own and run an insurance agency.” My main goal has always been to help people protect the assets they have worked hard to acquire or will own in the future. I have enjoyed meeting a lot of people since 1989 and many of our clients seem like family. We have watched their kids grow up and have kids… in many cases, they treat us like part of their family. We hurt when they hurt and are happy when they are happy.

In my spare time, I enjoy working in my yard, golfing, and reading. I love my God, my family, and my dog.

Since December of 1985, Rodger and I have been a team in life no matter what it is we encounter. So when the he had the opportunity to open an insurance office in 1989 we both agreed it would take both of us to be successful. People have asked me over the years: “how have the two of you worked together every day for all these years?” I just tell them as long as he stays in his office and I in mine all is well! I have enjoyed having both of our sons work in the agency over the years. Insurance can be a complicated and misunderstood subject. I have enjoyed helping our clients better understand it over the years. A correct answer to a billing question is my forte.

When not working, I enjoy cooking, a good book and relaxing at the beach.

I began my career on July 17, 2017 when I joined the “family business” in an official capacity but basically, I grew up eating, drinking, and sleeping insurance. I hardly remember a family mealtime the subject didn’t come up. I have heard the stories of families who lost their homes to fire, or lost family members to auto accidents, or were afraid of losing everything they owned in a law suit. Those stories made me realize the value of what my parents did at work. Now I get to share and enjoy the same job satisfaction by trying to help clients adequately protect their “stuff.”

In my spare time, I enjoy hunting, shooting, and cooking. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love traveling and seeing this beautiful country I live in. I also get fulfillment from being a volunteer fireman with the Franklinville Fire Department.

Insurance has been part of my life since 1997. Prior to joining Chriscoe & Associates, Inc., in May of 2019 I worked for an agency in Troy for 20 years. I really enjoy the customer contact part of my work. We actually get to be a part of our client’s life and help them when the “storms of life” hit them at unsuspecting times.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and my “several” pets. I also enjoy shopping with my cousins and going to movies.

I began my insurance career over thirty years ago with an independent agency in Pennsylvania. In 1997 I had the opportunity to open my own agency with a large national insurance company in High Point. After twenty-five years of managing my agency I decided to retire and take a much needed break. During that break, I realized I missed the client contact and the privileges of helping them develop an insurance program to cover their needs and protect their assets.
During my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, volunteering at my church, and sitting on a local school board.

Our wonderful, loyal, and beloved friend and office partner passed away on 3-1-2015. We are thankful God created you for us and for the 13 years we have been blessed to have had you be a part of our family. You will forever be in our hearts and memories. We loved you as you loved us!
